Vision, Mission and Values

We believe that it is possible to offer each patient a treatment adpated to his condition allowing everyone to retain a certain human dignity, even in old age. We believe that a society that does its best to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to age healthy is a healthy and sustainable society. It is clear to us that such a society cannot be created in a matter of days or even months, but we are seeing how we can participate in it over the long term by offering effective, accessible and tailored treatments to each person’s needs to slow down or stop the neurodegenerative diseases that greatly damage the lives of our elders. Thus, we summarize our vision in one sentence:

“Maintain dignity as you age through effective, accessible and appropriate treatments”

In order to implement this vision, the Jacques Armand Institute has set itself the mission of developing medicines focusing on efficiency at the individual level, whatever the budget surplus. To carry out this mission, the Institute will draw on the medical and clinical expertise of health professionals (doctors specializing in neurology and general practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, etc.), on listening to the needs of patients, future patients and their families and on the experience of drug development professionals (preclinical development, clinical, manufacturing/industrialization, regulatory affairs and distribution). If each patient receives a treatment tailored to his needs with optimal efficiency, the expenses associated with promoting said treatment will no longer be necessary and the price for each will be fair.

As an association, the Jacques Armand Institute is pursuing an ideal of activism and humanitarian action. It has been built on values shared by its members and will always be faithful to them. Thus, the primary motivation for the creation of the Institute is passion for innovation in the service of the sick, scientific and medical excellence, transparency in decisions and unwavering adherence to a code of conduct based on ethics, trust, honesty and courage.
